Johm FRANCIS WILLIAMS II

John Francis Williams II, 1894-1985 chemist, soldier, author, inventor, teacher, was born on January 9, 1894 in Charlotte, North Carolina, oldest surviving son of John F. Williams I and Anne Keenan.

He has a B.S. degree in Chemistry, North Carolina State, Raleigh, North Carolina, 1917. Also, an M.A. degree, College of Arts and Science, University of Buffalo (New York) 1928.

He was awarded Letters Patent Nos. 1689901-2.

He had military service in World War I and in World War II, and retired as a Colonel, Infantry, Army No. 0-143669. He served for many years as a chemist in the U.S. Civil Service.

On January 1, 1920 he married Doris Jenkins in Ahoskie, North Carolina. Their children are: Ray, John F.III and Don.

On March 3, 1933 he married Virginia Pomeroy, Lockport, New York. Their children are: Norman Pomeroy, 1935-1960; Robert Bruce 1938.
